Before we as promised delve deeper into yesterdays amazing The Sims Social producer video. Think about what information we have been given previously? Why no release date? The answer given was to keep the competition (mainly Zynga) at bay and to not give them the upper hand in terms of time scales and seeing the features in time to compete and replicate. Well as this information is now out and about through the world of Facebook and the Internet for all to see, we here at The Sims Social fansite honestly don't think it will be long at all until The Sims Social goes live!
Anyway, back to us trying to get the most out of everything we have been teased with in respects of gameplay and new footage. Clothing and customising your Sims.
Here are the first images released by EA and Playfish for the interface of character customisation, and pretty in depth it seems too. From your Sims avatars name, skin colour, to the ability to choose from various types of outfit. Casual, Swimwear, Bed, Smart and Sports (We presume from the icons)
Then the Sims clothing can be changed from the Head, Body, Legs and Feet, with last of all 'Special' which we guess would be accessories and special items like maybe angel wings or halo's? To jewelery? Although we do not know how many clothes will be available from the offset when The Sims Social is released, it seems from the screenshots provided that we won't be short of clothes to dress our Sims with 2 to 3 pages of 15 items in each category, plus additional items and content via regular updates.
In the rocker screenshot above, we can clearly see both blue coin items and gold coin premium items. We'll go into more detail about these later this week. But they do seem reasonable and not highly expensive like some other Facebook social games. We took note of the clothes sampled in the producers video and we can see some themes forming and believe updates could consist of Ninja themed clothes, outfits and objects. Like Dojos, Samurai sword decorations, Ninja Tops and Masks. Through to Red & Blue Chinese dresses for the girls. This seems likely to us.
We understand we can only speculate at the moment and hope you continue to follow our analysis throughout the week. However when we finally get our hands on The Sims Social. The Sims Social fansite will be your number one resource.
