Just under two weeks ago The Sims Social online Facebook game looked dominant and set for becoming the biggest social networking game on the web with just under 65 Million Active Monthly Players and was heading at dethroning the mighty Zynga and it's leading game CityVille. However in a remarkable turn of events it seems over 20 Million players have decided enough is enough with the tiny niggles and bugs and seem to have turned there backs on The Sims Social, even with the excellent Halloween updates.
As you can see above, The Sims Social has taken a significant hit in terms of active players. We are not sure if the majority of users are unable to access the game or if the have just decided to call it a day completely? We know many players have faced continual bugs and glitches over the last couple of weeks. EA and Playfish seem to be fixing them as quickly as they can, but more smaller bugs seem to give birth in there places. It seems the work by The Sims Social developers has not been enough.
We, of course, are still very much enjoying The Sims Social, in fact, we think the game has gone from strength to strength in regards to the recent updates and game features. Let's hope that The Sims Social can battle through this tough time and continue to grow in the excessive fashion it was previously. Not all is bad, The Sims Social still is the second most popular Facebook game around with a still staggering 42 Million Monthly players.
